bouncing side stand

The side stand is driving me bonkers the way it bounces around when off the pavement.
Anyone out there with ideas on solving this annoying problem?
Stronger spring?

I mentioned something similar in another thread. After some suggestions and my own testing it turns out to be the chain making the noise.

Maybe you have a different problem, but mine is the chain.

Hope you find a solution!

If it's the stand, use a strong bungee, that'll keep it up and out of the way when off roading.

+1 on the chain: jack your bike so that the rear wheel is about to lift off the ground, and see if you can slap the chain against the bottom of the swingarm.

I put the bike on the centre stand, hopefully this is the same idea, and the chain hits the under side of the swing arm. Is it that the chain is too loose?
