Steering damper

Yes here in Australia MSC make one $645 AU. I was going to ask if anyone has fitted one and what did they think of the result. I am considering one as I hate deep sand. MSCMoto.

I thought $645 was expensive, but $870 is way over the top IMHO.

Yes, I have an MSC damper fitted. It was an easy item to fit btw - just bolt on. I gave it its first real test on Wednesday. I wound it up to max adjustment while on the motorway and it got rid of the slight high speed weave you get above 130kph with the tractionators when you hit a bump. When I got to the dirt I backed it off to around halfway on the adjustment, dropped 10 psi on the tyres, and the bike ripped through the gravel on Canyonleigh Rd to Brayton at 90-100kph and held a line no probs. Same on the dirt and heavier gravel stretches between Brayton and Bannaby. 80-90kph all the way, except the Swallowtail Pass where it took the slippery wet rocks at the Tarlo River causeway without any dramas. So as a first test it all looks good. How it stacks up over a longer period remains to be seen, but I'd be pretty confident it will last because the build quality looks good.

Garage
I talked to Scotts and came away from the conversation thinking they are not even working on an AT solution. Don't hold your breath waiting for them.
