Off road handling, look down and notice the mind blowing speeds you've reached so comfortably. Good brakes

Looks there are more dislikes piling up than likes in this Forum. The dislike thread is still pretty popular, although it has been around a lot longer.

Dislike the fact that I don't have mine yet

Have fun, or don't, your choice

Oops! Wrong thread! This is the 'What do you LIKE about the Africa Twin CRF1000L' thread.

When you have your bike you can post here that you LIKE the fact that you have yours

regards
James Mc

I wasn't looking for an Adv bike specifically, I wanted a DCT bike with a bit more oomph than my Integra 750 after coming up 2 years. I have had many bikes of most genre's over a good few years and latterly I have been running big scooters alongside geared bikes and simply got to prefer the auto version. When the Integra appeared it felt like a good compromise - which in fact it was - but recently I have sometimes wished for a bit more 'shove'. Didn't fancy the 1200 or more importantly its weight as I am now getting on a bit - so I arranged a test ride on the AT - and that was that. I thought the engine was an absolute peach with a lovely exhaust note, decent handling and comfort. I ordered one then but knowing I would do a few mods .Matt Black for me.

I have now had it a month, just over 1000 miles, lowered a little, engine bars, boxes, chain oiler, slightly bigger screen and am enjoying the ride very much. Might fiddle with the fork shield idea, power socket, and adjust the centre stand but that is about it.

I like the updated DCT box - it pretty much lives in S2 apart from D on my gravel drive and sometimes if I hit heavy stop start traffic.

Adv bikes not totally new to me, had a 1000 Varadero a few years back, but mostly tourer's - Honda and Beemer's - and cruisers which were mostly HD.

I am not an off road guy very much, did some in my younger days - but I like to have that possibility available to me too.
