AT OEM Dunlop Tires tread depth?

Just a quick question...
If someone with a new AT could kindly measure the new/relatively new tires tread depth?
Or if anyone know the standard depth for Dunlops? Is it 6mm?

I just did a check today, I got around 4mm front and 4.5mm rear left after 3000km.

Just trying to estimate how long they'll last. As I'm weighing up if I should ditch the stock tires now (even tho they're still relatively new) and go Karoo 3.

Thx
Rich.

I have got 2300 miles on mine and going on a 3,000 miler from next week to the Pyrenees so thought it prudent to put on a brand new rear before leaving.

After trying to order from 2 x local bike tyre specialists yesterday the answer i was given was that the the Dunlop D610 is not coming to the UK at all.

I find this strange and would have been happy staying with this D610 tyre as i have no issues with it so far.

I might end up going on this tyre and looking for a replacement in France or if it lasts the whole trip just replace both tyres as a pair for something else or even the similar TR91's when i get back.

Does anyone know how the D610 differs from any other tyre as i believe it is 'specially made' for the new africa twin?

Thanks

Ian

I am experiencing the same rate of wear as You. I have about 3500kms on mine and the centre rear tread is down to a little under 4mm. At that rate of wear I would expect not much more than 7000kms out of it. I ride briskly but do not accelerate too hard, short shifting and riding the torque of the motor.
