Does anyone know if the factory in Japan is the only one making AT's? I would think they would be made in other locations as well.

I got a call from my dealer here in upstate NY yesterday and my red manual AT that was supposed to be here on May 30th has now been pushed back to July 28th. I heard that some other people here in the northeast are still getting their bikes in May but not me apparently. I've had a deposit down since November 2015 so I'm not sure how much longer I want to wait considering the July 28th date may not be for real either.

I may start looking at the KTM 1190R now as well.

Sad news indeed for the people affected - including any potential economic impact on the workers at the Honda plant. Only one possible way to spin this into something even remotely positive. Since the plant produces parts for Honda motorcycles, maybe the production line for the AT wire wheel spokes and/or the heated grips will have to be replaced or at least re-engineered.

Phoned round 10 dealers in North of England yesterday and found a tri-colour manual Africa Twin in stock and will take delivery next Thursday!

There are bikes out there in the network guys, you just need to phone around!

I may be very lucky. I emailed my dealer and he said he hasn't heard anything from Honda Canada about my bike, so hopefully got out in time and is on the ship.

Got another call from my dealer today (upstate NY). Now delivery is scheduled for June 8th instead of July 28th. That's a relief.

Maybe we should have a get together and create the NEAT Club! (If we ever get them!)

“It will take time to resume operations,” said a Honda official.

Sad news indeed. Glad I didn't wait to order mine for September now. I am enjoying it immensely, and to anybody waiting on theirs to arrive, be patient because its well worth the wait!

Looks like the factory closure continues...

But in other news, I've given up waiting and today I put my deposit down on a Yamaha Super Tenere ES. It was a leftover 2015 model, so I got a great deal on it. I've enjoyed chatting on here with you guys, and really hope all of you who have Africa Twins already are enjoying them, and everyone who is waiting gets their bikes soon. Everything I've read about the Africa Twins makes me think they're fantastic bikes, so you're all very lucky!

Hopefully my Super Ten will prove to be a pretty good bike too though! See you out on the roads guys!
