Show us you set-up when done, i.e. crash-bars and the bash plate. At the end of the day, you may be right

Resigned from purchase in 2016.

This is pretty cool. Heard of a small adventure bike outfitting business that's actually trying to involve Africa Twin (CRF1000L) (future) owners to help develop off-road protective armor. I've just submitted my answers via their survey. We'll see if they actually follow through...

Adventures begin when you leave your comfort zone.

There is a new SW Motech bash plate available. Looks like it would keep the engine casings off the ground if the bike fell over. You could then do withough an engine crash bar. Just a thought.

IMHO you need both, the bash plate and the crash bar. Without the crash bar you expose the radiators

A set of barkbustres and a good bashplate & rack would have saved it

Good Afternoon and thank you for your email.

I note your interest in engine guards for the 2016 Honda Africa Twin. I would advise that these items are still being manufactured and we are waiting for Head Office in Italy to provide us with an availability timeframe and also a price point for a number of items, including the engine guards specific to the Honda Africa Twin.

I would advise that we do accept pre-orders for items that are in manufacturing. A pre-order can be placed with your local Givi stockist / retailer, details of which can be found via the banner heading of “Distribution” on the Givi.co.uk website.

Thank you for contacting Givi UK.

This is what I got from Givi I really like this crash bars
