I am wanting to put together a compact travel essentials toolkit together, for my new AT. Enough to get the wheels off, get to the airbox etc, nothing major, just the basics. Perhaps some of you have a suggested list or some pics of what you like to carry. Many thanks.
I bought this tool kit for my Super Tenere a few years ago; http://www.mcssl.com/store/rrr-tool-solutions/rrr-adventure-tool-roll-set-torx-premium-hivis-yellow
While I only had to use it once in the field, I've used on my ST and Tiger XCx for some general maintenance work even though my regular set of tools were available. I read somewhere to use the tools you carry to perform work on your bike to ensure you have what you need in your tool kit...
It probably has a few tools/sizes I haven't used and may be dead weight. But I don't think its that much more for a few sockets...
I've augmented it with motopro axle nut/tire spoon combo for the front axle and the rear for the AT's axle nut sizes
Thanks for the response. That's a really neat, compact, and pretty comprehensive toolkit.
