Colorado Trail System - Trail Finder

For those of you that live in Colorado, or anyone that may be planning a visit, Colorado State Parks just put a really nice application online for finding motorized trails (also biking and hiking).

I think it is most effective as a desktop application for planning trips, I didn't find it very usable on my phone, but your mileage may vary. Pasted below is the text of the email they sent me, which explains a bit more about the project.

Greetings Outdoor Enthusiast,

Last year you signed up to be notified when the Colorado Trail System beta application was released. Great news - the CTS Trail Finder public beta is now available! Explore the CTS Trail Finder here:

The beta version of this application will be available on this site until mid-April. Once you’ve had a look around please take the CTS survey. Your survey answers will guide the evolution of the CTS.

We will gather feedback via this survey, implement any necessary changes, and release the official public version of the application on National Trails Day, June 3rd.

Thanks for your interest. Happy trails!

Nice Find! Did a quick check of some of the routes I ride off-road and they are marked as motorized vehicle routes! Beta just for now, I hope its not too long between the end of the Beta test and the actual production map....

The finished version is set for release June 3. Make sure to take the survey, and the extended survey. It sounds like they have a lot of great ideas, and they are requesting public input to determine what is most important.
