We're a diverse group and it's been great reading and watching everyone's travels around the world on your Africa Twins be they short or long but, I want to know the people behind the bike.

Just some fun little bits, nothing too personal unless you really want to share.

So I'm 26 and from Canada, working towards becoming a journalist.

Work gets stressful so I like to ride around whenever possible or do something else to relax; BBQ, snorkel, commandeer my friend's cat for the weekend and general tom foolery (recently earned a new scar because of this).

I am the wrong side of 65 and retired. I have been riding motorcycles without break for 46 years. I raced Enduro in the clubman class at a reasonably good level, and have toured much of Europe with my Wife, with one small excursion into the middle east.

There was a time in my life when I did not have an arse in my trousers and as such my motorcycling was done on a humble Kawasaki 100, but I still had a ball on it. I still do some trail riding and am on a bike several days of each week. I just love motorcycling and it simply is a huge part of my life.

The other major motorcycle that I own is a Triumph 1200 Explorer. Right now the AT is having difficulty living up to the standards of the Triumph. I am working on it........

Well FullThrottle, I'm 73 been riding since I past my test in 1959,

Never stopped learning something new, and loving the latest technology in bikes or cars etc, Ride almost every day and clock up around 12,000 smiles per year on my bikes,

My DCT AT, has to be one of the best all round bikes I've ever owned, and I hope I have a few more years in the saddle,

ps, do you have a Ducati Scrambler ? (ref FullThrottle)

Sorry for the late reply, fell off a ladder and had to get my neck checked out and professionally cracked by a chiropractor. No, I don't have a Ducati Scrambler, did think about it but decided not to go the scrambler route.

I like my AT, its a bit more manageable for an old man than the previous Rally Raid KTM 690 R, still got my '57 plate KTM 640 Adv, now that's what you call an Adventure Bike.

Not much to me, started riding sub 500cc sport bikes and realized there's a whole world out there off beaten path but the BMW GS is just physically too large for me. Used to be a Kawsaki fan and still am, but the Honda AT just has more to offer.

My life is not as exciting as everyone else's, just a normal 9-5 office worker.

Everyone else's lifes are perhaps not as exiting as they seem. After all this is an Internet forum

Hi Fullthrottle,
My 640 Adv has the greatest adventure memories for me despite owning several other KTMs, therefore I feel committed to keeping it. Due to my advancing years ahem, I do not use the bike to its fullest, at my age things take a lot longer to repair and often not properly too. So I do ride it on long trips but no longer as far a field as Morocco. The AT is more my choice now, and despite its undoubted off road abilities my ability is no longer up to it. I have ridden many more adventure bikes than road offerings so I decided to go for another adventure bike, 21" front wheels are in my DNA, and the AT is such good value...I'm enjoying it immensely.
