Hmmm, It's Your Machine... CACHE

I agree that it's likely a cache issue.

I ran a test on an older i7 (3770K) and I was able to induce laggy performance on this site, with fairly slow page loads.

I installed CCleaner and Advanced System Care 9, both free versions, and ran them and what do you know, using InternetDestroyer (Internet Explorer) there were no lag issues.

CCleaner cleans the cache pretty well and I run it weekly on my monster 6-core i7 and I absolutely never experience any lag issues on any forums, even ones with heavy advertising. Remember that a fantastic CAD machine isn't always the most efficient Internet surfing rig.

Don't let a likely simple computer issue on your end run you off. Solve the problem and continue enjoying this site.

Good luck and ride safely.

I am afraid I am going t have to bow out of this forum also. I am on 8 forums (other bikes) and this is the only one causing problems. It is basically stressing out my PC and I am constantly getting notifications about problems with the certificate. I had to make several attempts to print this post as what I was typing simply was not showing on screen. Pity as I found it helpful.

Griff, what are you system details? Did you try any of the suggestions here?

Has anyone been able to catch any of the scrolling text on the bottom of the window where the site might be hanging?

Windows 10 operating system and Internet Explorer Browser. As mentioned I have no issues anywhere else so I am not mad keen to start adding other browsers to my desktop just for one site ? I tried clearing caches but this thing comes and goes on here. Right now it is not an issue but last evening it was a proper pain. The PC fan was going ballistic as it was trying to cope with whatever was going on. My typing input was hit and miss. It was frustrating to the point that I just wanted out.

Hey Griff,

Thank you for all that info. I apologize for the frustration as any sort of slow down is not fun. I would not ask you to change browsers just for one site, as that is silly, but can you try on another browser and see if it works more fluidly for you?

Also can you provide us with a screen capture of the "certificate" error you are receiving?

Thank you for your patience,

Richard.

Any chance this site can be viewed on the tapatalk app? It's much simpler and never problems with other sites. Loads of other forums seems to be able to be view I that app, unfortunately this isn't one of them.
