Day trip Ireland - up North
Ireland being the small size it is means you can get pretty much anywhere, there and back, in a day if you want too. Sunday forecast was a mixed bag of varying cloud, drizzle, mist and sunshine so me and a mate planned a day trip from Kildare in the Republic up to the North, to the Mournes. Had I been by myself I might of been tempted to do a U-turn halfway there as fog caused visibility to drop dramatically, riding was not that pleasant. Not wanting to wimp out we spurred on and were rewarded with superb weather, 11 Deg C and some great skys. Hot soup and a coffee in a cafe nestled in the Mountains was the perfect antidote to a mild coolness before heading back in the afternoon. Not an adventure I know, just a "micro adventure".
