Modified exhaust video. Thoughts?

These are the Arrow headers (not titanium) without the catalytic converter and the aftermarket spark arrestors. I've added the booster plug and it runs great.

It sounds incredible. Why leave the stock muffler?

There is no power gain by ditching the stock muffler any power gain comes from ditching the CAT ie putting on new headers. You can make it sound different and can save a couple of Kg but no extra power.

Out of curiosity: what would be that power gain that justifies the increased pollution after cat removal?

People just like to make a load of noise for some reason.

I know many people seem to enjoy arguing on the internet but I'm not one of them.

I do enjoy the exhaust noise that most engines make with modified exhausts. I enjoy hearing other people's exhaust sounds when trying to decide how to modify my own. I'm sharing mine here for that reason.

Thanks for doing it. I had never thought of the route you went and now I'm curious.

I second that..... I would even prefer it more silent.....

But it is not only noise in this case. Removing the cat makes the bike polluting even more. I guess the need for enjoying noise of some people is far more important than the need for tranquillity and clean air for some others.
