They are standard threads with red loctite on the threads.
It takes a bit of force to break them loose, then they unscrew easily.
They have a bit of pressure on them from the internal bar weights. I drilled and tapped mine so I could keep the bar end weights with Acerbis guards.

Doc, thanks for the quick response on this. I can't believe how tight these things are on, at least on my bike, so was concerned I was missing something unique.

Interesting. I did finally get my right one off, but with MAJOR force, then it finally broke free and came off easily. I mention this for others in future, since it appears some are locktited on much more than others. Mine had about 3/8 to 1/2 inches of Loctite, at the inner mostl part of the thread.

I just used two yellow Catapillar O rings, one between the throttle flange and housing and the other which rolls on and off of the bar end weight.
