Made a long weekend tour to northern Sweden last weekend. The fall coulours were just beginning to be as their best. No freezing temperatures yet, Sun-Mon about +8⁰ C, Tuesday about +4⁰ C.
At the beginnig I was not very happy with the TKC 70 tires when I changed them on. But now, after 4000 kms I'm pretty happy. For the "stiff" handling on slow turns you cannot help, but the sensitivity for grooves and scrathes on tarmack is not so bad anymore when the pattern has rounded a bit. No significant wear is not yet to be seen. The grip both on dry and wet tarmack is excellent. On dry it's easy to scratch footpegs on tarmack. The Sargent seat is way better than OEM, but the longitude profile is not quite as good as it was on R 1200 GS. The best place for sitting is a bit too far rear, from which I tend to be sliding a bit forward. All in all, no problems sitting 10 hours a day on the saddle, three days in row. Next week I'll take my bike for 12 000 km service. Not a single problem yet.
