Clutch lever clamp bolts torque.

Sorry to post this question if the answer is already on the forum somewhere but I've searched the post below and I can't find it.

I need the torque settings for these two bolts.

I couldn't find that number either, but being that is just a clamp, I just snugged mine up. Tight enough that the assembly won't move, and loose enough not to stretch the bolt. I personally wouldn't worry too much about having an actual value on that fastener.

Never used to care but having owned second hand bikes with mangled heads or obscenely tight bolts Im a convert.
If your doing it up its no extra effort to do it to a value...takes seconds.

In fact treated myself to a new torque wrench for the small values at xmas.

something satisfying over feeling that 'click' lol

2 wheels is always enough!

Honda clamps are tightened to 8.5Nm.

It's in the publics workshop manual for the right side clamp but for both in the dealer manual, for all the 20+ Honda's I've owned it's always been the same, worth checking once in a while per model though, I've recently been helping out in a dealership and had a peek

Tighten them enough that you can bump the lever pivot with your palm and move it up and down with a hard smack.
Not so loose it moves when you grab a handful of lever or that it moves easily.
Adjusted thus, if you tip over, the lever will move and not break.
Also helps if you put a wrap of teflon plumbers tape under the clamp.
Honda hand guards don't protect the levers very well. Torqued tight and the levers are bound to break. Pretty tough when a stupid tip-over breaks a clutch lever far from home on a weekend...
