Those look like the "Pro" line to me - sweet (have the plastic bumpers). I saw that in a short video of a 2019 bike walkaround at a Honda demo show. Liked what I saw in the video.
I would like to see closer pics of the way they are attached to the bike. Looks like they aren't using the puck and clamp system, but are more integrated into the bike - for better or worse.
And yeah, looks like you get a narrower overall width across the back there - I'd like to know how wide it measures (from outside of one box to outside of other)?
But the price you pay appears to be a little less room in the right-side box, with it's form-fitting over the exhaust (and small boxes). It's hard to tell in the pics, but the boxes look on the smaller side... are they 31 liter? Capacity? Almost looks like a set of two 31L boxes with the right one tapered at the bottom.
Can you order the different sizes? (Mine are the 31L and the 38L but there is a 45L (helmet size) available too).
I trust Touratech and Honda to have done it right.
I'd also love to see the bike full, with the panniers on, from a couple of angles. And with the boxes off... what does the frame look like without the boxes.
Looks pretty slick and well integrated but I have to say, I like my setup just fine. And with the boxes off, the rack is solid and strong and acts as a sort of crash bar set for the rear. And I like the way it looks.
But I probably would have been very tempted to go with what you have had it been available in 2018.
Ride safe man. Looking forward to more pics.
