Picked up a 2017 in red, white, and blue from Russellville (AR) Honda back in April. So far, besides the Honda center stand, power outlet, tall windshield, and panniers, I've added AltRider crashbar system, skid plate, and reservoir cover. Also added the H&B handguards, SW-Motech toprack, and swapped out the stock footpegs for a set of Black Dog Cycleworks traction footpegs. Really want to do the airbox booster plug soon. In the process of fabricating a bracket to work with my Garmin GPS mount which will allow the weight of the GPS to rest on top of the display as other's have had issues mounting it to the crossbar with Ram mounts causing the support to crack. Can't wait for the stock tires to wear out so I can put some more dirt worthy tires on it.
I've been riding nearly 50 years and raced MX in the late '80s/early '90s on a '87 CR500R; local races around Texas. Sold off a Transalp, XR650R, and (2) CR500s to buy the AT. Been riding with a Two Wheeled Texans group the last few years that run KTM 990s, KTM 1150s, and BMW GS's. Decided it was time to upgrade to something to run with those guys and, since I'm pretty much a Honda guy, the AT seemed to be the perfect bike for me. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to put too many miles on the AT yet due to a nasty rotator cuff injury and subsequent surgery. I'm still doing some local rides on the street while recovering (against doctor's orders) but holding off on the long, offroad adventures for another couple months.
