ATs at the eclipse

Saw four tricolor ATs during our trip from the Bay Area to the Deschutes Valley to see the eclipse, all on Monday 10/21:

1. Southbound on OR-197 just north of the 97/197 junction, around 9 am
2. Stopped at the market in Maupin, OR around noon (this may have been the same as #1)
3 & 4. Riding in a pair, I believe northbound on I-5 in central OR, about 4 pm

Made me wish I'd taken the AT up to the eclipse, until I realized that we put 1,658 miles on the RV in five days. That would have been a little much for my bum.

ablock,
I put 1430 miles on my candy Red AT on a desert trek from Nor Cal thru western Nevada to eastern Oregon for the eclipse. Even did a side trip to western Idaho.
You wouldn't have seen me unless you were on a gravel road or desert playa.
Okay, maybe I was on Hwy 20 for a while.
Awesome trip though.

Looks amazing. Is there a GPS track you'd be willing to post?

No GPS track, but I can try and put together a google maps version. I picked up some maps at a Crane Oregon gas station that had a pretty good layout of gravel and paved roads in the area.

Here is the Oregon part of the trip highlighted on the map.
Picked up this map in Crane. They also have another map for Northern Oregon.
Stopped in Crane both ways. Food was good.
Watched the eclipse on Buckbrush Road.
Went through Lassen Park (CA HWY 89) on the way home.
The Nevada part was from Gerlach thru Black Rock Desert.
There is also Alvord Desert we rode north of Fields Oregon.
