I was about ready to try a pair of the Apduro panniers but clicking on their website shows an error code....I am presuming they've gone bust? Anyway, just had a 9 day two up tour of Scotland with everything we needed (we weren't camping) crammed into the 3 Honda plastic cases. It worked, just. I'm looking at better options but don't actually want much more space than the 105 litres I get from Honda. I just want it to be easier to pack. I'm starting simple, by buying a givi top box plate so that I can use a 58 litre top box I already have. This is the least costly attempt at getting packing right. Light and bulky stuff in the top box, use the two Honda (SHAD) inner bags in the panniers for clothes/toiletries etc (Whilst perusing various manufacturors and shops websites, I've found some laugh out loud gems. Apparently a 58 litre Givi Tracker top box weighs 7kg. Someone asked if it was suitable for their Suzuki. The store responded by stating, Yes, provided the total weight of top box and contents don't exceed your 6kg weight limit.WTF) |

Aesthetically, it looks great. Your all black bike looks pretty cool, man. Aluminum finished or steel panniers would have popped way too much on that bike. Nice look. ... |

Went with the Bumot Panniers Hi all, I decided on the Bumot panniers! Super happy with them. Great quality and fit. I got great product support from Jason at ADVMotorrad. Can't wait to take them on the road this spring. Thanks for everyone's advise and information! Ride safe. |

I was pointed in the direction a Polish pannier manufacturer...very impressed with the quality from seeing a set on someones bike...and far cheaper than Bumot/Touratech etc. Worth a look? http://apduro.com/en/kufry-aluminowe/ |

I cant believe how cheap the Tusk panniers are, between $400 & $430 USD for the panniers & racks depending on size, thats near what just pannier racks cost here in Australia, great review here of them getting totaly abused, even with frieght the whole set can be bought for just the price of one pannier here |

I like my Bumot cases, though I've also heard good things about Jesse too. I have the 40L/36L cases, the 45L/41L were bigger than I needed and I didn't think that I wanted quite so much width. It's pretty easy to take my panniers off and just use the top box for day trips, putting the panniers back on for longer trips. I like the black as it matches my Outback Motortek crash bars and the factory rims and other standard items that came in black. I've since ditched the Givi Maxia E55 and replaced it with a Givi Trekker 58L top box, which looks much more the part on this bike. |

I have the Bumot luggage (sides and top) installed. All of the kit, to my eyes is top notch quality - everything aligns, everything feels extremely solid, and mounts well. I also have the Bumot bash plate, and this bombproof quality extends out to that as well. The boxes have friction hinges which is nice, as they stop where you leave them. I've ridden with them through pouring rain, and no leaks. There are some nice options to them as well. For example, the racks can be ordered with an integrated matching keyset toolbox. The boxes have tie down points for extra stuff to be strapped to them. Inside the lids there is a strapping point to keep stuff stuck on the lids and to use that space. For the pics - ignore the vstrom - that's the wifes. |
