Tuono07 Just did the same with my AT today. Bought the bike a week ago and plan a weekend ride in KY next week with friends. Haven't decided on hard luggage yet so I took the Cycle Guys fast rack off my Aprilia Tuono and mounted it on the AT.
Should work great with my soft Givi Bag

HerrDeacon Nice work, I'm making something similar now as well, hope to finish it this week if I can get time. Will be using it to mount a Pelican like you as well.

Made my own rear luggage plate

Im sure you guys see this alot but heres mine.

Had a piece of 3/4in (ish) aluminium plate lying around so I slapped it on the rear with worm gear tube clamps and got a $30 HF hard case and bolted it to the plate. The pre drilled holes around the outer edge are perfect size for straps.

I tested the mounting by grabbing the plate and lifting it and moving it side to side. It's going no where.
