Coldstream69 Anyone with a centre stand, look out for it testing on the frame underneath and cutting through the paint. I complained after noticing when cleaning the engine guard. Honda said they hadn’t had any others reported but informed me that after checking their demos, they had all cut through the paint and had rust starting. They have fixed with sticky clear plastic film but dont think will last.

Cuchulainn I had the OEM Center Stand on my 2016 AT and did have to have the circlip warranty done at a later date. When I traded that in for a 2019 ATAS, I went with the Outback Motortek center stand instead. It is a beefier stand with stronger springs and no circlip issues. It was more expensive than the OEM, but I don't regret the decision.

Shadowjack I got the recall notice in August 18 for my 17 and didn't even have a centerstand. Guess they couldn't know whether the option was invoked or not, so they were cautious.

Reg Frank Honda Safety Recall for Africa Twin Center Stand. Wanted to give everyone a heads up that Honda US has released a safety recall to remedy a circlip defect that secures the centerstand. A lot of US riders have reported this issue and should be a quick fix from Honda.Oct 31, 2018

Here in the US I guess all bikes with stands on them when purchased were called back to the dealer for a C clip R&R. and there were none to be had from Honda to purchase for a while. You Brits know how to put a clip on I guess. I just got and installed mine, quality stuff IMOP

Glad I got one.

Wow not to talk up maybe an outside vendor but Pzilla rocked this one! Ordered on 10th and it is on my bike by 1430 today 12th. 190 free ship. They are just over the boarder. I wanted to make sure it lifted the bike off the floor so without fighting with springs in case it didn't, I installed it and found out putting the springs on with bike on the stand is a cinch. long Philips screw driver in hook of inside spring pry to hook eye and snap in with pliers. Outboard spring is a bit harder, but by clamping a good pair of vise grips on the spring anchor tab (Pliers fwd of outer leg handle out) use a lengthy big flat tip screw driver, flat edge in jaws of vise grips and when spring is in line with tab anchor, just rotate so flat end of screw driver moves spring lower and wallah a tap with a tool and it in place. This is the best pic I found on web but not a Honda OEM

Shadowjack The part number ends in G51; this is the revised kit with the proper snap ring. The original kit ended in G01, these should all have been recalled.
