You may be right, but with the Madstad sloped back that gap is huge, and IMHO the biggest effect of the excellent Madstad is because of its extra width rather than than the reduction of vacuum

idle speed is 1400rpm isn't it? I guess Honda wouldn't want revs dropping much below idle speed, so if 1400rpm in 1st gear is too fast they will cause the dct to slip it's clutch. Won't they?
