I just painted mine, used a fake anodizing high...

I just painted mine, used a fake anodizing high heat paint. A very quick process - paint, bake with torch, cool with water, done. Lol it took more time to take out and replace the bolts then to paint...

The DCT (in sport mode) is the best in stop-n-go traffic, not to mention, unlike your HD you can be stuck in it for hours at high temps and your ATAS will be just fine, lol you’ll be over heated way...

You will find the AT to be a little bit more of a handful off road in sketchy situations, but I found it’s very stable (more then the KLR)...

Sounds to me more like a people issue, than a Honda issue. Like I stated above I had no problems with my dealer and had EXCELLENT customer service with Honda North America with a couple of questions...

I had a 2014 KLR 650 and it never broke my leg, hmmm, maybe mine was defective? Then again, maybe Kawasaki fixed that issue by 2014, you did have a much earlier model :grin2:

18’s have more ‘issues’ fixed and will give you throttle by wire and the new dash. But I’m sure someone with a 17 will giver you the heads up on any issues..
