History
A short production run of 2 years because BMUU sold the Husqvarna name to KTM in 2013. BMW said they'd support spare parts for 10 years which was a lie. And in 2016 BMW refused to work on these bikes in their workshops worldwide. Locked out of the BMW ECU I purchased a hex-code GS911, a $700 diagnostics tool. Orphaned. The Hi-Comp EFI Rotax donk was a gem. Heavy flywheel which spun to 8g's. For a thumper these are rockets. Variants were Terra and Strada. Also built in Italy, the Nuda (naked) a 900ccTwin didnt make it to the USA market.

Modifications

Drivetrain
Standard gearing, Supersprox and 520 DID vx3
Interior
Pod mod, because of the lack of good air filtration. Booster plug. Pulstar spark.
Exterior

Standard with skene p3 system with DRL's added
Exhaust
Screaming demons
Suspension
Rear was standard and up front shim stacks altered. Right fork was compression, Left was rebound
Wheel and Tire

Two Gen 1 KLRs and the Husky span over 30 years.

And numerous other 250, 350 and 500 XL's prior.
Honda first 500cc pro-link offering. Its often said the pro-link gets lost in heavy going. And I find thats still true now. But none is more plush & comfortable.

Tinkering around in the garage today, decided to finish off 2 jobs/installs I had started. While its pissing down with rain outside.

Im not one for getting dressed up in fluro coloured clothing instead letting the bike do the talking.

For the rear, I installed a Skene p160 tail/brake light system. (lifted from the husky) Pretty straight forward, just had to identify the tail light loom and the color coding to posi-tap into. The module is under the passenger seat. Programming is all done via the front brake lever, great versatile system and bright.

At the front, I installed an additional set of position lights. (or DRL’s) I thought the existing DRL's on my 2019 AT to be too weak to have any great effect on tintops. When I purchased the barkbusters I also bought the DRL’s that nicely integrate onto the plastics. Anyway I loomed them from the accessories socket, posi-tap via a 2 amp fuse, under the tank and out near the steering head. Permanently "on" so I put a SAE join in with a cap for the active side.

I’m a bit of a safety freak
