I'm 190lbs and with the addition of panniers/gear there is no way I could even come close to setting the proper SAG on the rear shock, even with max preload. Bought the K-Tech spring for my weight which was a 95N spring: K-Tech Suspension Rear Shock Spring

Honda uses an 80N spring, so the bike is way under-sprung for my weight. The spring came off the bike easy enough. I have Outback Motortek crash bars which attach to the frame right at the access hole for the shock. I was able to work around that no problem. You do not have to remove the regulator/rectifier per the shop manual or the rear tire. Once all three bolts are removed the trick is to jack up the rear wheel ALL the way and the shock drops right out. Looking forward to the new spring, taking it to local suspension guy tomorrow!

It will definitely help! Remember to adjust your compression and rebound damping...
