Because gloves come and I tend to wear them out, I invested in heated glove liners a number of years ago. If the glove has enough room, they can go into any glove and in combination with the heated grips are fantastic to ride. They operate elements on top of the hand, while the grips cover the bottom. Together it is a very versatile set up and with them off, you get an even more graduated approach to how much "heat" you apply and you get to use your favorite glove per normal. Plus they pack small and stay on the bike so I don't have to specifically haul a chunky pair of temp-specific gloves around the continent.

As mentioned previously I also use heated inner gloves. I think the ones I use have the elements running around the sides of the fingers but that is just from memory from last year as not needed them yet this year.
