I have had several Goldwings over my many years. Outstanding travel bikes . Travelled cross country on those and my two FJR1300s and my 1000 V-Stroms . Now we travel with a trailer ! Last October 4 of us hauled our little bikes (250s and 300s ) out to Utah and rode for a week out there . Mostly off road . So an "adventure bike " to us is our own interpretation . It's all fun however you do it . I really don't know what I would replace the AT with . The T7 works a little better than the AT for our local riding . It does not have the power or the CHARACTER of the AT . It is actually too smooth . The AT has a great "thump" that the T7 does not have and the rear suspension is better on the AT . However the T7 is 50 lbs lighter and "feels" 60 or 70 lbs lighter. As I get older I am getting shorter and the T7 is a little lower .
Those are my vague reasons for selling the AT . I will miss it when / if it leaves .
