I believe I've seen people complain that the stock front fender doesnt line up with the tire. Now that I am pretty much done adding farkles to my ATAS, I've moved on to hyper focusing on little problems. Anybody come up with a way to correct the fender/wheel divide?

Honestly I wouldn't loose any sleep over that 1-2 mm fender misalignment :)

... speaking of misalignment, recently visited a few NEW car dealerships ...I was in total shock to see how terribly are new cars put together :rolleyes: ...now that would bother me a lot, and we're talking sticker prices from $80.000 to 150.000

Yes I also like things "straight, even, symmetrical etc" (y) did you try with washers or shims?

Yesterday I was at Audi, didn't take pictures but on the white car the uneven gaps look terrible, and $80 - $100K cars. Dealer said Audi is built in Mexico.

Mine was fine when new but on a recent BRD ride I got stuck in deep sticky clay mud that packed up under the front fender and locked the front wheel so I had to remove the front fender to ride out and then reinstall it later. Now my fender is slightly off center so I am sure they is a little play in the adjustment for it but haven't got around to it fix it.

I've sometimes wondered if this misalignement could be caused by very slight fork leg misalignment. The main downside of this is fork stiction, but perhaps this could result in a fender slightly askew. Slight axial distortion or lateral offset could cause the wheel to point slightly off-center.

Apologies if this is well known to you and this is the procedure you follow (since this is by-the-book for just about any bike), but there are some key steps to perform when installing the front wheel to achieve fork alignment and minimize stiction. I underlined the ones that I could imagine people skipping. From the Honda service manual.

Anyway - maybe worth checking? Just kind of a guess on my part.

All of the steps before installing the brake calipers are done with the front wheel off the ground. Right hand side pinch bolts are final-tightened on the ground. The factory manual doesn't make this clear, but the Haynes manual does (attached picture - step 13). Make sure your spacers are all there also, of course.

Whelp loosed everything up including the axle and started over step by step...fender is still slightly off haha. As for measuring the ABS sensor gap...I guess I will need to buy some valve shims to check it because I am not sure how else you measure 0.4mm but I am pretty dumb so..

My 2020 is off like yours. I have replaced tires a few times and realigned the forks as described but no fix. I keep thinking I’ll mess with washers/spacers but never remember until I’m ready to ride again. I’m guessing the plastic fender mold is just off or something else simple that doesn’t affect function but sucks on a $20k bike. Knuckleheads who say just ride it are missing the point. If it was crooked because I crashed it would be a trophy but I’d probably still try to fix it.

This fender misaligment is the same as the plastic chain cover.
It is bend/crooked on the inside, that the chain rubs always there.
I removed, heated with a blower gun, clamped on a vise with a 2X4, cooled with water, to no avail.
I installed back and let it be.
I do not go there to look again.

I think it has something to do with how much the axle is pulled across when you are torquing down the axle bolt. It says to tighten the pinch bolts on the right before torquing the axle bolt but it still pulls the axle to the left a bit.

My axle on the right side is slightly below being flush with the stanchion once its torqued to spec, but even if you are able to keep the right side of the axle flush with the stanchion, it seems like it would make the wheel even more crooked in relation to the fender
