I ride the 1100 and on a 4,000 miles trip in the western US last fall I checked my mileage at every fill up. I was loaded (80 pounds or so) and am no lightweight myself (220 pounds). My high MPG was 61.7 mpg and my low was 34.5 mpg - big difference between 65 mph and 80 mph...overall average was 47.4 mpg. With the smaller 5 gallon tank seemed like I was stopping A LOT for fuel. Getting ready for a Mexico ride and will be adding a rotopax to make sure I don't get stranded.

I finally filled up and hand calculated and I got 48.6mpg. The riding was a mix of country roads and city. ....a mix of riding like a hooligan and hyper-miling. Sometimes on the display I see 22 mpg and sometimes 80 mpg.
