Just picked up silver base L model last Friday, clocked up first 250km on local back roads about Yarra valley / kinglake area. The bike is sensational, very neutral and forgiving ride. Surprising how well it handles the gravel roads with standard tyres, tracks beautifully. Will post pics and ride data once the first 1000 km run in duties are done gently.
Not too many tie down points though so looking at rear alloy plate to lash gear to at the moment and a bash plate. have the Arrow silencer, Pivot pegs (fitted today) and bark buster storm guards so far. Have ordered a black Bagster tank cover arriving next week and looking into crash bars also.
Nice to have another CRF in the shed, 250x now has a big brother.. The XR 600 RF still going strong since '85 with a bit of wear n tear!

Welcome to the club, you'll like it here.

I have the B&B Offroad mini rack on mine. Fits beautifully into the 4 bolt holes in the rack with spacers to hold it clear from the rack. Recommended.

If it's in your plans too, the Shad SH40 topbox bolts straight up to the BBO mini rack and leaves the slots at the front and rear of the rack free to strap luggage to when you don't want the topbox.
