Howdy,
I am planning a trip to watch the Austrian MotoGP races in August this year. Due to work I will be making a mad dash down there from my home in Northern England to Spielberg, Austria on Thurs 17th, with a view to arriving at the trackside campsite for Friday late afternoon (thats the boring bit).
On the Monday after race weekend I will head over the Grosshglockner Pass to Lago Idra (next to Lake Garda), where I will be based until Thursday (24th Aug). I intend to ride out every day to some Alps (Furka - of Gold Finger fame, Gottard and its cobbles, Bernard to see a mountain dog with some booze possibly, Stelvio and Gavia of Giro d’italia fame etc etc).
After all that I will head home on the Thursday via one night near Baden Baden and the Black Forest (Germany).
If you fancy joining me then let me know and I will post a basic itinerary so you make make plans your self, if you just want to meet up for a brew/beer at some point then even better?
