Axle Nut - Spanner Sizes

26987 Views 15 Replies 12 Participants Last post by  Nomadic_adv
Since the toolbox doesn't come with front and real axle spanners (moan, complain, moan again!), and none of my current spanners fit, can someone advise me what front and rear axle spanner size(s) to get so that I can remove my wheels?

Many thanks.

Rear is 27mm, haven't looked for the front hex socket as yet. I think around 15mm....much larger than the one I needed for the V-Strom.
Rear is 27mm on the right, 22mm on the left. Front is 22mm

Cheers
My thanks to all for the info.

Ride safely.
Hi Stormy,

Over on the UK KTM Forum there's a guy who makes and sells exceptionally nice Al ring spanners; I bought a pair for my 690 End. The other end is a tyre lever, the 27mm fits nicely. Yesterday I adjusted my chain as I am at circa 1k miles now.

Thanks for the info. They certainly look great tools (guess you pay for quality though!)

Thanks Mike. Have joined Forum and will have a look.
I am planning on a set of these for my trip. Seems the lightest option?

Forgive my ignorance, but are these sizes the same for the 2020 version of the AT. (y)
