I do not know what happens in other countries, but in Greece it would be a real surprise to see a Varadero without a bagster. Some place it for the looks, some for protecting the expensive tank, some for the ability to use the bagster tankbags with it; I belonged to the the later category.

Bagster products are superb. Very good fit and long years of use without issues, if you treat them well (no harsh chemicals for cleaning etc). Also, no issues on the tank because of trapped condensation or whatever.

I also have been looking for photos of an AT or ATAS with bagster; no luck. However, aside the "protection" thing, I do not believe that I will be able to use my tankbag due to the shape of the tank and the small distance in between the bars and the rider. Thus, I will rather invest on a magentic tankbag instead.
