Here’s my thoughts about Barkbusters. I’ve ridden off-road for years and remember these coming out. I’ve seen them work first hand quite a few times. Yea they stop the levers from being broken, light crashes tip overs , but I’ve also seen the plastic ones do the same. Here’s the major difference, a few times I’ve seen ppl smack a tree and rocky ground enough to fold them in and and be unable to use the brake/clutch lever because it pined it in. Those things don’t bend easily and getting them to bend back out in the woods with just the tools you have with you. The other thing is, most all off road manufacturers have break points on their levers that usually just snap the tip (or close to it ) off. Yea, ok the lever broke but is still useable... Just food for thought
