Newly priviledged to post as an "owner" ya!!

Anyway, a battery comment and question...
comment...wow, that's where it is? lol

Question / Input / Etc (especially for any electrical guys)... Since the battery is extremely difficult to connect stuff and once you do it isn't easy to route the wires anywhere functionable without taking off a LOT of stuff... (no wonder it's hundreds of $ to install the honda 12V...)

...I was thinking of modifying the toolbox (don't know what tiny tools I could fit in there anyway, ha!)
to maybe connect a relay and have it set in the tool box and then hook up the items I use...a battery tender, 12v Socket and Coax for heated stuff.... any thoughts, ideas, good or bad idea?

Yes thanks. all those videos are so great! not sure I can hook up heated gear to those connectors because of the draw?

PDM60: great idea! although it cost more than ALL my heated gear! I also want to hook up a battery tender. does anyone know if they can hook up to a relay and charge the battery or does that need to be a direct battery connection?.... any electric gurus out there?

might try the eastern beaver set up... some good directions for the Africa Twin in particular

Avoid running multiple wires to the battery, run one large pair to your choice of Eastern Beaver fusebox products under the seat. Wire running is very easy, there's a channel in the upper right of the battery box. The Eastern Beaver kit with relay has everything you need just bolts in place.

You can charge the battery directly through the Eastern Beaver PC-8 fusebox or the 3CS.
