Can anyone recommend an Apple Carplay wireless dongle that works please?

I've had a couple from Amazon and Ebay but they've been a bit hit and miss. One worked but was a bit laggy and had crackly sound and the Carlinkit mini ultra doesnt work at all on the bike but works fine in my car.

Cheers.(y)

This one has worked well, and fits neatly in the recess above the headlight connector.
THIS one works great for Android Auto but others have said it also works great for carplay.

You can remove the Cover from it and cut a slot in the rubber and it fits inside the USB socket or you can adapt to rotate the USB plug and it will fit without cutting the slot.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I thought I'd test the Carlinkit Mini Ultra dongle again but this time I attached it to a USB extension cable and it worked. The bike recognised it straight away. I then tested it again without the extension and it wouldnt work. I'm guessing the dongle is not fitting into the USB port on the bike correctly, albeit the LED light comes on when I plug it in.

I use the Motorola MA1 and see AA drop vicinity microwave antennas common to US rural ops (big farm and ranch ops) and railroad comms points. I haven't nailed down the make and model of the transmitters but will eventually figure out the power and frequencies in play. I am curious if the other wireless units are also seeing EMI drops.

Yes, one place the Carsifi and AA Wireless always dropped out was when I went past a sawmill out in the countryside, I have gone past that same sawmill maybe 5 or 6 times with the Chinese dongle and not once has it dropped out. Another place I always got things dropping out was heading into Dundee and passing an industrial estate but the once or twice I have gone past that place with the Chinese dongle it has not dropped out.

I use the Quadlock one, not had any issues, its not meant for external use but had it mounted under the TFT sun shield for the last couple of years with no issues.

Just to chime in, I had my Motorola MA1 installed under the collar fairing and it eventually died to moisture (I think within half a year-ish). Now I'm back to using a cable because my phone is mounted anyhow.

Wondering if anyone makes an IP-rated unit of some kind.

I use this from Amazon with iPhone 16 Pro Max on iOS26 and Cardo pack talk edge. Very happy with it. JDG is the brand.
