I have noticed that after only 400 miles on my ATAS the cross member on the centre stand is peppered with tiny chips from front wheel grit. I had the same issue with my previous bikes, I just kept re painting them. The roads are still filthy from the winter gritting.
Has anyone found a good way of protecting the centre stand

If you want to keep it looking like it just came off the showroom floor, don't ride it ;-)

9,000km and many grins later
- SW Motech bashplate is beat up
- SWM centre stand has little paint left on the cross member
- Giant Loop Fandango tank bag scuffed the clear coat off the tank under the harness before I got the 3M stickum stuff applied. Now it's scuffed the 3M stickum
- Paint on left frame member above footpeg has worn off to bare metal from my boots
- windshield scratched from face slappers
- dust everywhere under the seat and tank

It's a great bike. Anyone buying a used one will accept some adventure scars!

Today I have cut up an old cycle inner tube into a long strip about 20mm wide. I have wound it on to the centre stand cross member and held the end down with black insulating tape.
