Good day fellow AT enthusiasts

I am hoping someone or more can help me with the issue I am having.

I have always had a slight ”wobble” on my front wheel and I put it down to the new tire.

long story short , I removed the tire and found what appeared to be a crack in the rim on the weld.

I eventually got a complete new rim set from Honda and when I opened it , it appears worse than the original rim.

The reason I got a rim was the fear that it was cracked and cause an accident.

If any of you are in the middle of changing your tires , please can you inspect your rims and check the inside of the rim on the weld. I am attaching some pictures of the new rim.

Thanks
Heli

Weird. I've not seen that on any of my DID, Excel or even the less expensive VMX wheels. It looks like an aluminized paste. What caught my attention is the actual rim joint. In the picture it appears there is a very fine straight line across the rim (red circled areas). If so, that would make me more nervous than the "paste" or whatever it is.

What does your dealer say? Or maybe stop by a bike shop first that does tires, and ask their tech about it?

Not the first time we hear and see disturbing information and pictures, about very poor AT rim quality, one would think Honda Japan would read motorcycle forums, especially the "AT" ones, to see what are "the real life feedbacks" about their products.

Wondering if "HondaJet forums" are reporting, cracked landing gear, unresponsive tft instruments, frame rust

So far no successful landings. Which dramatically limits complaining. 👍
