Any one else had issues with increased revs on a 2021 CRF1100.(NON DCT)
Revs increase to 1700-2000 rpm when in gear. Temperature normal. Revs drop to normal once neutral re-engaged.
It did this a few weeks ago after i started it one day but it must have corrected itself as i forgot about it….. but again today same issue.
Its not just when warming up. Its done 70 miles today and still doing it.Battery charged etc. It hasnt been torn apart lately either for any reason….. so no loose vacuum pipes/unclipped sensors etc i am assuming

Did you get to the bottom of it? I have a similar problem where if I get to 3000rpm it surges up to 4k without moving the throttle. All a bit disconcerting.

Mine did the exact same thing all last week , today I filled up with 93 octane usually use the cheapest. Ran it on the freeway for 80 miles now it runs Great. I'll let you know if it keeps running without the high Idle. Also mine would not start in gear, not even with the clutch pulled in. Darndest thing I have seen so far.

Thanks to the above.
Guy i bought it from owns a shop (Honda) and is a friend and had one the exact same.
His never did it. He said disconnect battery overnight which i did and it was ok when i reconnected it.But i went for a spin and it started again (noticed it as i was about to shut it off).
Then it stopped again/then it started again when i got home.
I havent been out on it in 2 weeks because i was away working so i am curious to try again.

(just a reminder...mine only increases the idle when its put in gear.As soon as i go back into neutral it drops to normal)
It is like something you would expect on a car/bike with hill assist. Not sure if the DCT has hill assist (Mine is NOT DCT).But when it was called for a re call for updated software HONDA guys kept asking me on phone was i sure it wasnt dct.I suspected the re call was showing on their side as only for DCT but my VIN number was included regardless. Having said that it didnt do it immediately after the update was done / only started months later after i woke it from a long slumber. Maybe its a fuel thing(stale fuel)

Drove it all day today and it was perfect!. I have noticed previously that the outside/ambient temperature display can be wildly inaccurate so maybe the ECU takes into consideration the outside temperature when adjusting the fuelling (and gets confused sometimes).Until it happens again....Thanks to all
