How could I order a 2023 CRF1100L? The dealers around here say they can't order them. I'd be glad to pick up a crate.

Wish they let us pick up the crate at the distribution centers. Ours is in VA. Local dealer says many bikes get injured during the shiipping.. inexperienced guys handle the forklifts, etc.

Yes!!!!. Mine came from Miami, in the crate. They bend the lower part of the crate with the fork end, and a crossmember raised on the meddle, touching the skid plate during transport.
The Skid plate got it first scratch even witout 1 centimeter ridden.

I was able to sand paper and polish the scratch, to be lees visible.

The odds are that whatever shipping damage has occured may have happened at some point before the crate arrived at the "distribution center".

I thought 2023 weren't even In production yet. Texas is dryyyy. I can only find DCT models but not a single manual model. One dealership said they can get me a 2022 base manual model for 17,720 out the door but that's way overpriced for me.

That is definitely way over priced I just bought my 22 ASES DCT for $18039.50 a couple of months ago. I’m in SD where there are small dealers who only get one or two of these are year and it takes them forever to sell them.

Seems dealers are getting MSRP plus dealer fees. With shortages the next year or so, they can.

I'm guessing in Jan when I check again, (delayed since June), Honda may just cancel 2022 orders and allow you to get a 2023. Seems the same bike except for another paint option.

I was going to wait for a ‘23 but my dealer seems to think it could easily be May or June before he gets one so I took a freshly delivered AS DCT for msrp and no fees except title.

I mean what's the difference between a 2023 and the 2022. The color? Besides that I can't think of any other changes.

Congrats!! Sometimes it's best to not wait. Africa Twins are rareish here in Texas. I've only seen one on the road. The only ones available here are the DCT models.

Color is the only thing I heard changed. I have SW crash bars sitting since June (and no bike) when I ordered a 2022 but they will fit a 2023.
