Had my first dusty gravel experience yesterday. The instrument screen,(all 4 sections) continually "loaded up" with fine dust immediately when riding, like the dust is being statically attracted to the screen. It wasn't even that dusty a ride, since rain the day before. Anyone run into this and find a solution.

I travel with a soft microfibre cloth and some Plexus to clean it off. It does get dusty for sure.

Was that you out by Bragg Creek yesterday? Red AT?

There's a company called MotoSkin making clear film cutouts for the Africa Twin gauge cluster. I heard about them on a Facebook Africa Twin group. I ordered off of Ebay and got it reasonably quick considering its coming from Thailand.

I did the install myself and it came out decent, but I ended up taking them off. I ended up with tiny bubbles that I couldn't squeegee out to the sides. I feel like it would have come out perfectly if a professional or someone accustomed to doing cell phone screens or something had done it. It was a well made product and fit each screen perfectly. It's worth a shot if you're good at that sort of thing.

I added the Moto Skin protectors shortly after getting the bike. They are cut very precise and got them on with some effort but bubble free. My whole bike is covered with dust from Arizona forest roads and I am glad that I added them. Also saw another manufacturer of the protectors, think it was on E-bay when I was searching for Rugged Roads products.

Took over a month to get the MotoSkins, but the seller did respond quickly to my e-mail and addressed my concerns about the shipping.

Superfunk, not me on the red AT Sunday. but was out near there. I've a '16 silver DCT. I went through Bragg about 11AM out 66, Powderface over to 40, then to Canmore on Smith Dorrien.

Question about those moto skins... are they just scratch protection or do they actually have some kind of negative charge effect that repels dust?

I believe they are just protectors. They are exactly like the shields used on phones. I did not see anything in the description about repelling dust

Take a fabric softener sheet, get it wet and smear the milky softener on the lenses, then polish with a clean soft cloth. Sounds whacky doesn't it? It works... on goggles too.
