I'm going to the Stella Alpina rally in Italy in July and I'm curious to know the French and Italian views on the subject of carrying a compulsory spare set of bulbs -not that I've ever bothered to before.

My bike is a 2018 model which (I think?) is all LED lamps.
Does anyone know what Euro police's views on this would be in the unlikely event of being pulled for a blown 'bulb'.

Cheers Paul.

I always carried spare bulbs when I was on my old GS heading to Italy.. Especially when passing through Austria as the polizei really do lie in wait at the border and will have you for the slightest infraction.

With LEDs I don't worry at all. If an entire set of LEDs.. Were to go off, then there's something a bit serious going on and the relatively small fine.. 9 euro I think from memory is rather less of a worry. With the Austrians it's having a headlight on or front light. And with the new bikes you have 3 front lights so...
