So far the U.S. is exempted:

= = =

That said, let's get it under control folks. No kissing strangers.
Or licking toads. No wait.. that's another issue.

And if it allowable to inject a little humor to a thread about a very serious issue...

I interrupt the COVID-19 pandemic to bring you this lil tidbit...

This morning I went to Costco to buy a bag of food for my dog.
Already in line, a woman behind me asked me if I had a dog.
I stare at her (those who know me will imagine my gaze ) ...but then why would I be buying dog food...right?

So on impulse I told her no, that I didn’t have a dog, that I was starting the dog food diet again, and that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital the last time, but 15 pounds less!

I told her that it was the perfect diet and that all you had to do is carry the kibbles in a ziploc bag and eat one or two every time you feel hungry (I have to mention that practically everyone in line was interested in my story).
Frightened, the woman asks me if I ended up in the hospital because the dog food had poisoned me. I answered...of course not!
I was admitted because I bent down to smell the butt of a bulldog and I was hit by a truck

I thought the man behind her was going to have a heart attack...he was laughing so hard!

We need to laugh more! Have a GREAT DAY

Sorry mun. :(

On a brighter note, I did observe the liquor stores quite quiet these daze. There are opportunities in those bottles (or cans, if that is your thing). :p

(but don't drink 'n' ride)

Yea just wait until someone puts out a false rumor that the alcohol in Jack Daniel’s kills COVID-19..
On that note; closing the pubs in Ireland had to bring about the talk of the end of days there. After all, it is WELL known that a shot of Irish whiskey cures everything ...:D

Ah, ha, ha,ha, Cuch! Now you probably created a local run on kibbles and ziplock baggies. :p
Yeah, didn't think about that. There has already been a run on Whitening Mouthwash due to the ADA (American Dental Association) suggesting "Have your patient rinse with 1% hydrogen peroxide before each appointment. Coronavirus is vulnerable to oxidation; this will reduce the salivary load of oral microbes" as a part of their "common sense recommendations."

My wife works as a Dental Hygienist and had recieved a similar piece from the RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist) newsletter.

Seems word got out, because if you wander down dental the aisles of our local stores, it appears people are now hording whitening Mouthwash like Peroxile.

What's next? ¯\༼ •́ ͜ʖ •̀ ༽

Edit: on the bright side everyone is going to have super white teeth. On the downside, people are fearful about going anywhere. They are cancelling appointments and her work day gets shorter and shorter

Remember to wash fruits and vegetables well. People still like to squeeze them in the store. Food-grade peroxide should work.

If you only peel, you still have to wash your hands afterwards. Suggest washing even peeled food.

Remember in all this: Do not touch your face.

Ride safely.

All of our bars, restaurants, theaters, and casinos are to be closed down for the next 30 days (at least) unless they offer takeout or delivery services. Establishments may only allow a maximum of 5 members of the public in the establishment at a time for the purpose of picking up their food or beverage orders.

Some of the restaurants and food delivery services such as Door Dash and Uber eats, are now offering "contactless" delivery, where you can pay for your food by credit card and they will ring and run, leaving it at your door.

WOW!
BTW, that kinda gives new meaning to Door Dash..

question: Who’s paying their bills while they are forced off their jobs.

Who's paying their bills is becoming a point of contention. My wife was teaching dental hygiene clinic class for one of the local schools on Thursdays. They have cancelled the class until further notice and no word on if they will be paid yet.

Today she found out her dental office will be closing for 3 weeks. Again no word on whether that will be unpaid closure. I am guessing it will be.

Already been living on her income and savings while taking care of my mother.

Restaurants around the area have been begging people to buy gift certificates, so that they can stay afloat and hopefully pay their employees something.

The Kroenke owned sports aenas in the area said they would continue to pay their employees and asked their food vendors to do the same, but those vendors don't have the resources of Kroenke sports.

My sister who lives in Redondo Beach, CA was guaranteed 2 weeks of work/pay, but after that who knows.

Lots of people in worse shape than us though :(

If the government orders a shutdown
My work will pay me for at least a couple of months normal pay but then layoffs so sorry to say unlike a lot of unfortunate people I’ll be pretty much should be no issue with me.

Haven't popped in here much last couple of days. Been pretty wrapped up with everything. Nice to see you fellas and read your posts.

Crazy stuff. We're doing as well as can be expected here in asheville. The panic shoppers have made things harder. I did slowly start buying a few extra groceries a month ago.... Been watching it with some worry frankly when it first broke in China.

I'm a self employed contractor (work alone) and my current customers still want me working so I will as long as I can and materials are still available. Lots of financial worries, we live within our means, not much debt, but not much saved either. Trying to take as many precautions as possible. Wife works from home with our 3yo and we're pretty hermity.

What a pisser. It gets pretty overwhelming thinking about what so many folks are going through. We'll be ok through this I know, but not everyone will. Kinda nothing will be the same again. I'm seeing some pretty amazing things in the community that is absolutely inspiring fb mommy groups getting organized to help with daycare, supplies, mothers milk, medicine, work, and loss of work.

Its definitely a time to count our blessings, hug and tell our loved ones how much we love them. Find the gratitude everywhere we can. The weather has been beautiful here and I'm just itching to do a little camping. Maybe when I wrap this job next week.

Stay well fellas.

Is that an app? That's crazy
Yes an app on my phone called Plane Finder.
Funny thing is; that’s actually a little bit lighter traffic then a normal day, but not by much.
Tells you a bunch of info to if you zoom in on a plane you can even access it’s old flight routes ..
Occasionally I’ll put this on (on my iPad) and one of my scanner apps and the tower to listen and watch the flights come in ..
Lol technically is great, no?
