Apparently the new Ferrari has a single driveshaft and TWO dct boxes. One drives the rear wheels and the other the front wheels.
But here's the thing - the rear wheel one is 7-speed and the front is 2-speed. So how's that going to work?
Let's say the car is moving along in 1st gear in both boxes - all the wheels are turning at the same speed. The rear box decides its time to change up to second (out of 7 gears remember), but if the front box stays in 1st, then the front wheels will be turning faster than the rear, and if it changes up to second (ie its top gear) they will be turning slower than the rear ones
.... surely? .....
