The aluminum seems like it’s pretty strong I think it will hold up a lot better than the stock plate on the desert terrain here.

Install was pretty frustrating surprisingly. In the third photo you have to insert that bolt through the frame on the underside of the engine. It was ridiculous trying to access it in order to torque it. I had to use vice grips to grab the end of my 10mm wrench to barely get a hold of the bolt while I torqued the nut on the bottom of the plate. I don’t know why Crosspro didn’t just design the plate to use the same latch on the bottom of the bike that the stock plate slides on to. I’m now dreading when I need to change the oil again

That is the one bad thing about that plate. I managed to get in with a socket on a universal joint but I made up a tube nut to secure the bolt in place so now all I need to do is slacken the nut to release the plate and the bolt/tube nut stay in place. Basically the tube nut was just an M8 stainless bolt cut to length, OD turned to about 7mm then drilled through and tapped M6 internally and then the head skimmed down to about 2mm thick. If you have a lathe or know someone who does it may be worth doing.
