The aluminum seems like it’s pretty strong I think it will hold up a lot better than the stock plate on the desert terrain here.

Install was pretty frustrating surprisingly. In the third photo you have to insert that bolt through the frame on the underside of the engine. It was ridiculous trying to access it in order to torque it. I had to use vice grips to grab the end of my 10mm wrench to barely get a hold of the bolt while I torqued the nut on the bottom of the plate. I don’t know why Crosspro didn’t just design the plate to use the same latch on the bottom of the bike that the stock plate slides on to. I’m now dreading when I need to change the oil again
