Back from my 2-Week ride, but had to do it on my Goldwing as the quickest they could get the ATAS out of the shop was the night before departure, and I sure was not going to be 2,000 miles away from home with the problem. They did replace the pump, and I had them test it extensively (told the service manager to ride it home at night and flog it), and they said it is running fine. I am supposed to pick it up late afternoon today.

VFMOORE, can you recall if before the problem became obvious, did you possibly experience general slight power reduction of the bike? More like taking it a little bit more to accelerate than it used to.

The bike seems to be running well, and gone is a symptom that I originally thought was the traction control. Before the replacement it was not infrequent for me to grab a handful of throttle and find what I felt to be a lag in power. That does not happen now.

Received a call from the Dealer on Saturday that they were fully reimbursed by mother Honda for the fuel pump swap, including additional charges for removal of the Heed bars so that they could work on it. Very pleased.

I am just back from a 3300 mile trip and had this happen multiple times. I posted about it Bike cutting out on trip. Thought it was going to strand me but I made it home. At worst times it would only go 35 mph uphill. Same deal as some others have mentioned, shut off the bike and it runs fine for a while. Low fuel level and ambient air temp. Seemed to set the right scenario for failure. More throttle would cause it to die and by throttling back it would not be as bad. Service rep. Where I bought the bike says you got to duplicate the problem. Went out yesterday and couldn’t reproduce it but it was cooler than normal.

I’ve only ridden my 2nd hand ATAS home over 250kms in cool conditions approx 10 degrees C, and when I opened the almost empty tank there was a rush of air - in, I’d say. Suspect the venting is not quite right?

With an upcoming 4WD trip to Uluru (Ayers Rock) and north/south through the Simpson Desert I’ll not get another ride for a while to test the theory. Will keep a close eye and ear on this though and hope the others with issues get them resolved and keep us posted please! 👍

I've noticed if I run a half can of seafoam with a tank the bike gets 12 more mpg for the tank and doesn't hesitate when WOT. I don't know if it is the kerosene content, my mind playing tricks, or the sea foam alleviating an issue, but I do notice it and I have to wonder. After the tank runs dry I go right back to 39 mpg.

I haven’t tried the sea foam yet. But on my recent trip on my 2019 ATAS I noticed a tail wind and a speed of around 60mph got me well over 60 mpg.
