Givi outback boxes

Hi everyone.

I posted a few pics of Givi outback boxes on my intro page. They got a good bit of interest. Thought some more might like to see.

Two 37L boxes and a 42L top box
I have toured two up with these boxes on an Super Tenere.
The 48l boxes or even one 48L and a 37lL is to much weight I think

Some wanted closeups of the racks and a view from the front.
To fit the racks you have to drill two 20mm holes in the undertray and attach to two longer supplied bolts

Some wanted to know if a helmet would fit in the topbox.
Also the width in total 105cm. the right side box sits out about 5cm more than the left box.

I was next to a bike with the kappa version of the Givi outback box, however it looked like the lock pin that connects into the bottom of box was right at the back of the box meaning little overhang over the base plate. From the pictures of yours it looks like the sticking up pin on the baseplate goes into the middle of the Givi box bottom. Any chance of a picture of he bottom of the box please.
Thanks for posting the pics loudpedal. Great looking panniers, I wish Givi made a set of 30 liter Outbacks that reduced the width.
has the assymetric weight on the panniers been felt at all? I have just bought the Givi Trekker Outback panniers plus frame, one large box one small box for the overall balance to be the same. Any thoughts?
Hi RJP996

Is this what you want?

I have yet to actually ride this bike with the side boxes on. The same boxes on my 1200 Tenere when fully loaded could be felt at low speed and coming to a stop.
My view would be the bigger the box the more you put into it.
I have toured two up for 3 weeks with these and a tank bag.

I find the 37L just about right. Givi do real neat inner bags which lift out to carry into accommodation rather than a big dirty metal box.

Capacity-wise I'm sure they're great. Just too wide for me to filter through traffic unfortunately.
Thanks v.much for the picture of the bottom of box :)
