I have been using a Givi v47 top box and it is just fine. I'm looking to upgrade to something more durable.

I have a Perun rear rack and am thinking of the following setup:
Outback Trekker 42L top box
Monokey kit E115F
2 x Denali B6 LED brake light bars (for some additional brake light visibility)
Deutsch Wiring Connector to allow removing top box with simple unplug of brake lights

Questions:
This a lame idea?
Has anyone else wired up some LED brake lights on their top box? Any tips?
Is the deutsch connector the best choice for weatherproof setup?

Thanks in advance!

I have the GIVI Trekker & Kappa (two cases - one for each bike, not the outback) and mounted the same hardware kit on the Perun rack. I went for the AdMore lighting kit and drilled a couple tiny holes to mount on the back of the case. It's great for commuting because of the size of the case. I also added an Optimate weatherproof power connection to charge USB items inside of the case.

I have both 42 nd 56 Outbeack Trekker top boxes, both have been good, actually prefer the smaller.

Not felt the need to add lights though.
