I sold my Yamaha tenere 700 I purched new in November, and purchased a 2019 africa twin
Have to say I have only had the bike since Monday, but it is simply amazing
I may of dropped it recently on the gravel drive, but its fine )

I loved the bike, it was just too uncomfortable for me being 6ft 2" and just under 20 stone ( I know I'm working on it)
commuting to work around 20-30 was great but anymore and I was crippled.
On the motorway it was scary, I got blown around everywhere, Although on back lanes it was awesome.
To be honest, if money was no object, I would of kept it.

You are not the only big guy on the site and I'm not far off your fighting weight. It's another newish bike I haven't yet seen in the metal but I think my brain may only look out for other AT's when I'm out riding. I'd have done the same as you if the bike feels unsteady at motorway speeds but I suppose not everybody out there has the same requirements as far as our mixed riding is concerned. Enjoy your new bike.
